Come and join us on a discovery walk through Venice especially designed for children!
With all its boats, canals, islands, ancient mansions and mysterious alleyways this labyrinth-like city loooks like a big fantasy world.
On this tour, after the traditional visit to St. Mark’s Square – inhabited by pigeons, winged lions, golden horses and other creatures - we’ll be boarding a private boat for one hour along the canals, taking pictures and learning how a city could be built on water.
The guide will use simple words and introduce a few basic concepts that will enable our younger guests to understand how Venice was created, developed through the centuries and why it ended up being such a rich merchant city.
We will complete our visit exploring the calm and evocative backstreets and squares of Castello or Dorsoduro, where we’ll find the time to stop for a yummy gelato.
We‘ll be sure to include some Venetian history as well: Venice seems like a theme park, but the magic lies in the fact that it’s actually real!
After the tour you can choose to enjoy your hands-on workshop and learn how to paint your own mask from a real mascarer, one of the skilled artisans who still create original Venetian masks in their ateliers located all over Venice.
