My name is Hélène Salvadori and I have been an authorized and registered tourist guide of Venice and its heritage since the 2000 after been certified by the Veneto Region. Since 2000 I have been a member of Venice Association of Registered Tourist Guides. I am an associate of Venezia Arte, Best Venice Guides, Venice Sustainable Tourism and Ca’ Foscari Alumni.

I was born in France to Venetian / French parents. The Venetian side of my family are art historians. Having grown up in Venice, I have developed an extensive knowledge of, and passion for my city. I studied at Ca’ Foscari in Venice and Warwick University in England. After finishing my degree in history and art history, I worked at the French consulate and the press office of the Venice Film Festival – run by La Biennale di Venezia – for several years
I started working in 2005 as a free lancer with a team of guides and our web site. In 2020 I developed my own web site. I have been working with agencies, institutes, universities and private clients since 2000.
My interest in diverse cultures and languages has led me to visit different regions and countries. Over the years, my interest for the environment and sustainability has deepened together with an interest in healthy and traditional approaches to life. When it comes to the body, I practice contemporary dance and have a much-loved passion for yoga. I often spend the winter months in India practicing this ancient Hindu discipline. I am fluent in French, English and of course, Italian! I speak some Spanish as well.
I previously worked as a tour manager and interpreter, organizing events in Venice. Between 1993 and 2000 I assisted documentary directors in Venice for BBC and ARTE television channels. I consequently developed excellent working relationships with the Venetian institutions thanks to my skills as a cultural and native speaker.
